Authentic vintage Louis Vuitton Compiègne 28 in Monogram coated canvas with vachetta cowhide trim. Top zip closure with an LV-engraved brass pull, vachetta side bands and triangular vachetta corner caps. Stamped LOUIS VUITTON PARIS made in france inside. Brown coated-canvas lining with two flat slip pockets.  MEASUREMENTS  Width 10 1/2 ; Height 7 ;  7 1/2 including the zip crown ; Depth 3 across the base   CONDITION — heavily patinated, please read and view all photos:  Vachetta has darkened to a deep honey brown throughout, with pronounced surface cracking along the piping and both side bands Loose and broken stitching threads at several points along the vachetta side bands, visible in the close-ups. Stitching is intact and holding, but there are frayed ends Corner caps show rubbing and darkening, one with a scuffed patch Monogram canvas is supple with no cracking, peeling, or splitting; a few small dark specks on the front panel Zipper runs the full length smoothly; brass pull has surface tarnish and wear to the plating Interior lining is intact with light marks overall, plus notable grey-white mottled staining inside one slip pocket, photographed Structurally sound, holds its shape, no odor  This is a well-loved vintage piece with real character in the vachetta.
